Did you prepare the hole before you planted the bush first? The brown leaves can be attributed to several factors, the most common is plant shock. Prior to introducing a plant to a new area it is best to prepare the hole by watering until the hole is filled to the 1/2 way point and allowed to naturally seep into the ground then replacing minerals in the soil (this will lessen the shock factor), the best method for replacing these minerals is to pous 1/2 to 3/4 gallons of milk, 1 - 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup baking powder (not soda) and 1 to 1 1/2 ounce of vinegar into the hole and allowed to naturally to seep into the soil. Prior to placing the new plant into the hole you will need to soak the root bulb thoroughly. Now, if your plant is in shock, water the same with luke warm water for a couple of days, and you should be fine. -Birdy
