I have 125 azealea s in my yard I only trim them back once a year and that is after they do there full bloom thing , if you live in florida do not trim them after June 30th . next years flowers are forming in the bush so if you trim them after June 30th you will be cutting off your flowers for the flowering year,,, also mine bloom in  Jan Feb,,  then again the whole mouth of March but only trim them after they have bllomed in march ,,Hope you have a better bloom soon ..
