Trumpet vines can be transplanted but timing is important. Do it in the spring. Cut the sides and top of the vine back before transplanting. Dig around the roots. Gather roots and as much dirt as possible, forming a root ball. Place the root ball in the new hole providing plenty of dirt for the roots. Water well. The transplant will require some care as it begins to enjoy its new home.
