Do you have to register a pet alligator or can you keep one if you find it!?

1 Answer

Answer :

The laws regarding ownership of alligators vary from place to place. You have to call the wildlife authority in your area and check with them if it is legal. If so, you must register the alligator with them and allow them to visit from time to time to check on the animal. Alligators may be cute when they are small, but they grow quite large. They can be very dangerous "pets" to own. Personally, I believe it is cruel to remove alligators and other exotic pets from their natural habitat where they can live out their lives normally.
