Yes, it is worth it. And even if it feels like it isn’t, I can assure you that there are many people you know who care about you a great deal, a little bit, or just casually, and each of these people want to have you around. Just in case you are thinking that life isn’t worth it. As a person who has experienced a profound loss, I know that life can be full of sorrow and pain. There were times I didn’t know if I could survive the pain I felt. If you are lucky (and you never know when this can happen), life can also be full of joy and wonder and goodness. And much of the time it is full of fresh air and clean water, and the things we take for granted that others can’t imagine. These are pretty good too. So, take heart. Be strong. Live through the hard times. You’ll find that it is worth it.
