any router, assuming it’s configured correctly will transfer at either a B signal which is 11mbs per second, G which is 54mbs, and N which can vary but is around 300mbs. The speed of your internet is somewhere less than 8mbs normally. I’ve never heard of an actiontec router, you can try swapping it with another and see what happens, I like Linksys. Though, it might just be the speed of your particular DSL connection.
