What are the big "remember-where-you-were-when-you-heard" events in your lifetime?

1 Answer

Answer :

September 11th is the biggest one for me. I was 10 years old and in 5th grade. I just remember it was the morning before school and I was in the livingroom and my mom had the news on. She didn’t even know what was going on, but I remember her saying “where’s the other tower?”. It was bizarre. Then when I got to school, there was a girl there who seemed to know more about it than everyone else and was telling everyone about it who arrived in front of the classroom and we were all discussing it. Columbine was pretty long ago, I was 7, but I have a vague memory of seeing it on TV. My grandmother’s death was news that was brought to me after I came home from school this January.
