answer:I bought a couple of pots last year, and popped them in my garden. In the spring, they came back, and right now, one of them has a gazillion buds that are about to flower. It’s quite magnificent. The other one died. I don’t know why. We used to keep an annual in a pot indoors. I don’t remember what kind it was. It lasted several years, blooming periodically. Mums will last through November, and pretty much until there is a killing frost. If there isn’t a killing frost (and one would not expect one indoors), they might go on blooming and blooming until you get tired of them and chuck them out. That’s just a guess, though.
