answer:Hi, and welcome to Fluther. I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t consider buying anything for your 13-year-old. I don’t even know the child! But it might be a good idea for you to do, though. One thing that I’m sure he’ll appreciate about most of the new portable turntables I’ve seen (I don’t know this one) is the USB connector that allows the vinyl track to be played and saved as an .MP3 file on an attached computer (or other USB device that can save the file).
