In order for you to retain the information in your long-term memory, you need to do more that rot memorization of the material. Try making various graphic organizers classifying the information in different ways. By visually representing the new information you will see the connections between concepts and details in a more clear manner. You won’t feel you are actually memorizing it, but your mind will be processing all the facts and reatining them for further retrieving. Make sure you understand the questions and exactly how and why the answers do respond the questions. The key is understanding what you are doing, if you don’t relate the info to real experience it will seem useless and it will make it more difficult to learn it. Good luck in your exam!
