answer:Here are a few: Coats for kids – Bring a coat you have out grown and donate it to an appropriate homeless organization (works well as winter approaches). Canned food drive – Have an event and “charge” a couple of cans of food for admission. All food items collected go to the local food bank. Put together “homeless packs” that consist of things like coupons for free food items at local fast food restaurants (not the healthiest, but it beats starving), a couple of bus tokens, and a list of local shelters and contact information for where they can get a helping hand. These can be handed out to pan handlers in lieu of pocket change.
