I may have @Mariah . I did have surgery on my lower spine, but was never told about the positioning during the surgery. I just know that I was put under anesthetic while I was lying on my back, and I woke up also lying on my back. I was obviously turned over to have the surgery done, but I don’t know any more than that. I do not remember there being any extreme discomfort after the surgery, in fact the relief from pain that I felt when I awoke from the anesthetic, was thrilling. Are your bruised all over? I did have a lot of bruising from an ankle surgery and I think that was from being pushed around and repositioned.
