answer:I love my hot tub, have had it for 7 years now. Initial costs included pouring a patio slab and installing a GFI circuit in my garage. Total cost including the tub which is a California fun spa, around 5k. It is a 4–6 person spa but you can get smaller or larger depending on your needs. If you already have a patio or deck you will not need to pour a slab. Beware of placing them on decks though, they will cause sagging eventually due to the weight unless your deck is extremely strong. They are low maintenance, and double as a nice little cool pool in the summer. Even when keeping it hot in the winter 24/7 I have never had an electric bill over $80.00 Mine is getting older now, still works great and you can paint/ re-stain them as you desire. Mine was originally redwood but it is now stained a very pretty deep teal green that blends with my house and landscaping. I couldn’t be happier with mine!
