Yes. Be glad she doesn’t narrate your thoughts! :) Go to SETTINGS app. Then move down to General. Once there- Siri is listed a bit down on the list. Open that to enter Siri-land. You can change, adjust or turn off. Be nice to her- or him, whatever accent. She always tells you or creates some nice shortcuts and hands-free calling. Give her another chance after a bit. You might be surprised!

If it were me, I’d do some speed tests online (iPhone or wireless computer vs ipad on my home network) and then call Apple. Others have reported no problem at all. No word yet if it’s a hardware issue.
