Drinking any ‘kool-aid” means falling in with any group. It is no different from accusations of “drinking the DNC kool -aid” as the reason Bernie Sanders is not President now. By the way, I really dislike the phrase “drinking the kool aid.” The Electric Kool Aid Acid Tests were a way of expanding consciousness and independent non conformist thinking.
