Does your mom not like the cat? My best advice is move out, since you can’t make your parents do anything and you can’t make them care. I know you’re saving money for whatever, but you have to prioritize. If your priority is saving money, then you have to deal with your mom’s lackadaisical attitude toward the cat. If your priority is the cat, then you need to get out ASAP, regardless of the money situation. You can talk to your mom about it but you can’t make her care. Since this is not the first time this has happened, with the cat running away, I’d say she doesn’t seem to see the sense of urgency about it that you do.
