Maybe there was once a time when it was a good way to learn some things about the vision for the country, but I've watched several over the past few years from multiple Presidents, and with varying quality, it's always the same things. Mostly making a bunch of lofty, vague promises that have zero chance of happening, mixed in with some talk on current events, and some underhanded insults about their opposing party. Biden is going to say some nice things about Ukraine, some bad things about Russia. He's strongly going to imply that Trump helped this happen by being so friendly toward Russia. He's going to make some serious and unattainable promises about the climate. And he also going to pay a bunch of lip service to minority communities by going on and on about how he's nominating a black woman for SCOTUS.
