My mom hit me with a clothes hanger, and when that broke, proceeded to slap me. She screamed at me, before telling me to die. It's because I haven't been doing my online schoolwork, despite her constant reminders for me to keep up. Was she in the right to do that? I'm just confused because I don't think I deserved to be hit with a clothes hanger, but at the same time, I feel guilty, like it was my fault she snapped. I'm also upset that she doesn't seem to care about why I fail to complete my work. Not once has she asked about my reasoning, or if I was okay (because honestly, my mental health isn't at it's best). This type of hitting and yelling usually only happens between us occasionally, but she's otherwise a fine mother. I'm a teenager, in case that helps.
