Saving money on an electric bill seems difficult, in that many of the ways to achieve savings is by spending a lot of money and time upgrading a furnace system. However, I found an inexpensive and time saving way to save on my electric bill. A timer for your furnace that you can wire to your thermostat can be found at many hardware and big box stores. The timer adjusts the thermostat up or down automatically, depending on the time of day, so that the temperature is up when I need it and down when I don't, saving me money.
