Indian DD Gyandarshan is an educational television channel that relays pr ogrammes from various Doordarshan Kendras in different Languages. The Educational television channel is organized and administered by NCERT, IGNOU and the National Institute of Open Schools. Educational TV is one of the priority areas for Doordarshan. Curriculum based programmes are pr oduced with active involvement of state educational administrators and teachers and are telecast from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Satellite based enrichment programmes for school children are produced by the State Institutes of Educational Technology (SIET), in Marathi at Pune, Gujarati at Ahmedabad, Oriya at Bhubaneshwar and Telugu at Hyderabad, which are broadcasted by all transmitters in the concerned states.
