I had an E-ticket for my last flight and this means you go to the ticket booth and punch in your information yourself. They are paperless ticket reservations. You punch in your order confirmation and your drivers license number at a check in desk to confirm your arrival and seat. Most booths let you use your flight number if you don't know or have your confirmation number but you still need your DL. Sometimes airlines will ask for proof of the credit card purchased just for security reasons. E-Tickets are great because there is nothing to misplace because its all electronic and not printed out. However if you would prefer a paper ticket just for your own sanity, most airlines will provide one but you might have to pay shipping and handling for it.
