In nature, king snakes can be a variety of colors, such as theall-black Mexican king snake and the black-and-white striped/bandedking snake commonly found in america. In captivity, there are manymore colors not found in nature. One variation, the Albinokingsnake, is very rare in the wild because a) the geneticcombination necessary for this coloring is rare by itself and b)albino kingsnakes have poor vision and cannot camoflouge very welland are, therefore, killed by predators faster than the averagekingsnake. The albino kingsnake is very common as a pet because ofits beautiful coloring. I, myself, have an albino kingsnake, andthey truly are beautiful!
