Do you put a comma in between two adjectives?

1 Answer

Answer :

Sometimes, depending on the type of adjective. Coordinateadjectives are adjectives in a row that each separately modify thenoun, like "Red, hairy dog." They are separated by commas.Cumulative adjectives, don't separately modify the noun and are notseparated by commas. The adjective before the noun pairs with thenoun as a unit. The adjective before that unit modifies them. Alarge cheese Pizza would be an example. Changing coordinateadjectives order would not make sense, whereas coordinateadjectives in different orders make sense. A cheese large pizzadoes not make sense, but a hairy, red dog does.
