What is Telecommunications?

1 Answer

Answer :

In the world of modern technology and technological progress, communication services are in great demand. Indeed, it is difficult now to imagine modern life without such seemingly mundane services as a global network, telephone, etc. Familiar markets and boutiques have long "pushed" online stores, and the electronic trading platform is becoming more promising. Accordingly, the companies involved in the provision of telecommunications services are developing quite dynamically.

The concept of communications speaks for itself and means communication between telephone subscribers, as well as between users of the Internet and other communication channels. The role of telecommunications companies in this chain can be viewed rather as the role of an intermediary. At the same time, few people thought about how exactly the process of connection between subscribers takes place (it does not matter - telephone or Internet services). The process consists in the fact that a person first communicates with the switchboard (in this case, with a telecom company), then there is a connection with another switchboard, and only after that - access to the network or to another subscriber. Telecom companies operate on this principle as intermediaries in the provision of telecommunication services.

Namely:

The ability to access the World Wide Web.

Provision of communication channels for rent.

Design and construction of telecommunication networks.

Service and maintenance of local networks.

As can be seen from the list of services provided, the concept of telecommunications is a fairly generalized definition that includes a huge list of services and works related to their provision. These are construction and installation activities (installation of poles for communications), and directly laying the cable, and setting up equipment and networks, subsequent maintenance, the activities of consultants.
