Hello,      If  by chance  your dresser had already been painted before, first thing is to remove the old paint, then clean before you prime and lastly put on your primer.  Please use caution when working around chemicals and do make sure that the area  inwhich you are working in is well ventilate. I would love it that you protect your eyes with safety glasses and use a mask over your nose. Hope this helps!
