Traveling by train without a guide?

Hello. I will start a new school in September and will take the train. I can't find out anywhere if there will be a guide on the train? There is no cash register, a vending machine at the station where I board, and there are those red "trains" with no vending machines inside. What if there is no guide on the train? Where is the ticket then bought? And am I obliged to go to the guide myself, or just wait for him to walk around? (Yes, I will ride the train alone for the first time) Thank you all for your advice

If it's about school, buy a monthly ticket at a larger station, it's cheaper, you're a student and you don't have to worry about tickets ...
