DPP interruption, what's next?

Hello, we have been with friends since 1.7. they started working for a forest company on a work agreement. After a week, our employer decided to quit due to poor organization and communication with another company we worked with. But he still promises to find us something else and also that if we want the money that is written in the contract, we have to finish the whole month. So my question is - can we all withdraw from the contract and is the employer obliged to pay us for the work so far ?? And can we request a credit note? I read that it is an obligation, but I do not know how I should deal with it further if the employer ignores our requests. Thanks in advance for the reply.
