This saying comes from the fact that in the past, stray dogs often flocked to teams, and that’s when people were attacked. If, during such an attack, the dogs tore off a piece of clothing, perhaps a part of the body, it was said that it had reached the thirtieth of the dogs. This is what we mean by things that are wasted in some way.
