Repairing
Repairing the dent on your car can be done in the following ways –
Locate the center of the dent and drill a hole.
Attach the dent pulling tool to a thread. Pull on the tool until the dent comes upwards and is flattened.
Once the depth of the dent has come up it should now be flattened with a hammer. However, while leveling the dent it is necessary to level it from both the sides. Therefore, it would be necessary to go underneath the car or behind the trunk in order to level the dent.
Apply body filler on the area of the dent. The body filler will further level the area of the dent so that the surface of the dent becomes proportional. The body filler will allow the primer to settle across the dent area.
Once the body filler has dried, sand the dent area with 36-grit sandpaper. This will smoothen the surface of the body filler, before applying primer on the dented area.
Spray the area with a primer on the dented area. The primer should be sprayed on the dented area at least six times. But when you spray the primer each time, an interval of 10-15 minutes should be left for the primer to dry. Through this method, six coats of the primer will be applied on the dent.
Once the primer has dried, you should sand the primer to provide a smooth surface on which the paint is to be applied. After you have achieved a smooth surface, apply the paint which matches the color of your car. Once the paint has dried, you should have got rid of your dent.
These are some simple suggestions that would be beneficial for you to get rid of the dent within a few hours. You will have your car back in the original form.
