: 1. On behalf of the able-bodied, do one meal in Dashmi , one fast in Ekadashi and one meal in Dwadashi. 2. Only those who are unable to do so are starving in Ekadashi. 3. If he was unable to do so, he would have given up five rabbishasya in Ekadashi. There are rules of night vigil for the able-bodied in the Gaudiya style or in the approved calendars of the great Acharyas who have instructed all Ekadashis to observe Nirjala (except water). It is best to do them semete. If you are unable to fast due to continuous black thinking, you can take some vegetables, fruits and radishes in other Ekadashis including Nirjala. For example, round potatoes , sweet potatoes and rice, pumpkin , papaya , tomato , cauliflower, etc., can be cooked with vegetable ghee or almond oil and eaten with devotion to God. Use turmeric , salt and pepper. Other foods such as milk , banana , apple , grape , pineapple , sugarcane , mango , grain , watermelon , bell , coconut , sweet potato , almond and lemon juice, etc. can get fruit radish. It is forbidden to take five types of rabi grains in the memorable Ekadashi: 1. All types of food like rice such as rice , mudri , chira , semolina , payes , khichuri , rice cake , khai etc. 2. All types of wheat foods such as flour , semolina , bakery bread or all types of biscuits , Horlicks etc. 3. All kinds of food like barley or corn like - Chatu , Khai , Ruti etc. 4. All types of pulses such as mug , masakalai , khesari , mashri , gram , arahar , felon , barbati and bean etc. 5. Mustard oil , soybean oil , sesame oil etc. If any one of the above five Ravishasyas is accepted in Ekadashi, the vow will be broken. It is to be noted that those who are not Sattika ahari and take intoxicants like tea , bidi / cigarette , drink , coffee etc. It is better not to take them till tomorrow while observing Ekadashi vows. Doing Ekadashi will not only improve one's life, but the deceased father / mother of Ekadashi will go to hell due to his / her own fault, but only that son (Ekadashi vow) can save his / her parents from hell. "Indrira Ekadashi" is the name of Ashwin's Krishna Ekadashi. If one fasts on the date of (obligatory) Ekadashi in a purposeless manner without observing any prohibition and stays awake at night, then he will get the full result of Ekadashi. If you eat food on Ekadashi, you will be a dweller of hell, but if you feed others, you will be a dweller of hell. Therefore, it is the duty of each and every one of us to observe Ekadashi. Ekadashi Paran - In the time given in the calendar for the Ekadashi Paran, it is absolutely necessary to offer Paran by accepting the offerings of the five Rabishasya Bhagavan. Otherwise there is no fruit of Ekadashi. The real purpose of observing Ekadashi vows is not only to fast , but also to spend the day of Ekadashi by constantly remembering , meditating and listening to **** Shiva. Srila Prabhupada instructed the devotees to chant twenty-five rosaries on the eleventh day or more if they had enough time. Slander , gossip , lying , anger , immorality , sexual intercourse during Ekadashi are strictly forbidden.
