In ancient Aryan society, paddy was a symbol of wealth. Durba, on the other hand, is a symbol of longevity. Durba does not die easily , even if it rots in intense sun or rain, Durba survives again. And for this reason another name of Durbar is immortal. The money given to the head of Dhan-Durba, become rich and gain longevity. But if the one who will give the blessing does not understand the meaning of this symbol, then this blessing is formalized.
