In the DNA replication method , the hydrogen bonds between the two DNA strands are broken off and each strand creates a new strand to complement it. Later an old formula and a new formula are combined to form a DNA molecule. DNA replication is called the semi-conservative method because new DNA molecules are formed by the combination of an old maternal molecule and a newly created molecule.
