Why does a dog run out its tongue on a hot day ?

1 Answer

Answer :

On a hot day, the body of the dog stays warm and makes the dog uncomfortable. But there is a kind of saliva on the dog's tongue. That saliva absorbs the latent heat of evaporation from the dog's body and the dog's body cools down. The dog feels relieved. That's why the dog sticks out its tongue and runs.
