Coronavirus was first discovered in the 1960's. It was first seen in chickens as an infectious bronchitis virus. Later, two types of the virus were found in patients with the common cold-sneeze-cough. The two viruses found in humans have been named 'human coronavirus 229E' and 'human coronavirus OC43'. Since then, several more species of the virus have been found at different times, most notably in 2003. 'SARS-COV', 'HCOV NL83' in 2004, 'HKU1' in 2005, ' MERS -COV' in 2012 and most recently 'Novel Coronavirus' in China in 2019.
