Power of Superintendence: The High Court enjoys the power of Superintendent over all Courts within their territorial jurisdiction. In this regard the High Court exercises the following powers: (i) Detailed report as the working of the Courts can be called for. (ii) Rules can be formed for regulating the practice and proceeding of the Courts. (iii) The appointment, posting and promotion of District Judges shall be made by the Governor in consultation with the High Court. (iv) The High Court can prescribe form in which book, entries and account shall be kept by the Court.
