Net Sown Area represents the total area of land sown once or twice in a year. The land is estimated by the sowing of crops in a year. The plains of Haryana in India have more percentage of the net sown area. This is calculated to keep track of the number of crops sown in a particular piece of land and form an estimate of the progress of agriculture and the overall economy of the country.
