My mom is a police dispatcher and she told me the worst story of a woman who called 911 because her child had fallen off some playground equipment. The kid fell and snapped his neck and definitely died right then and there but the mother was hysterical and told police dispatch "never mind sorry to bother you guys. I will just put his head back into place." Then when the ambulance arrived she kept apologizing for wasting police time and said her kid would be fine after his nap.
