How do you cut the dead roses off a rose bush?

1 Answer

Answer :

You need to get a pruner to cut off the dead blooms.  Cut them on an angle, about 1/8 inch above where you will see a small bud near a leaf.  Just removing the peddles will not do anything.  Do not break off any stems.  You need to make a sharp clean cut for another rose to bloom.  Just be careful not to cut off the bud on the stem.  Its really small near a leaf. once you see where these buds are, you will get better at trimming your rose bushes. Good luck
