my oleanders froze and are coming back but have a lot of dead limbs on them, how far back do I trim?

1 Answer

Answer :

I would wait....the last chance of frost is not over yet here.  It was 32 degrees last night May 17 into 18 at 6am................I would wait until June, those dead branches are protecting it, when it it warmer more shoots coming up...maybe June...trim off pieces of one branch and keep checking as you cut to a green cut then stop.  Wear clothes cutting this plant as it is on the poison list so bag & trash the cutting.
