First, good job getting most of the splinter out. Next, lay off the peroxide, it doesn’t help and can do more damage than good. Third, I suggest soaking your finger in warm water for about 10 minutes (until the skin is soft), and then, with a sterilized needle (put the needle in boiling water for 5 minutes), gently peel away the top layer of skin to reveal more of the splinter (and squeeze out more pus). You can then use tweezers to try and remove the residual splinter. Don’t worry so much if you can’t get it all out because it will come out eventually. Lastly, I suggest you use a triple antibiotic cream on the wound. You can repeat these steps at your discretion. Good luck.
