Well, I found an abstract of a study that measured UV and visible light transmission through eyelids. It found that while up to 77% of visible light is transmitted, “negligible” amounts of UV make it through (the URL is extremely long, and the Ask-public text editor won’t allow me to make a link out of it, but if you’re interested I’ll PM it).
