answer:Found a third-party app that’ll help: PureText. It’s super simple… when running, it puts a “PT” icon in your systray. And then, to Paste Special > Unformatted Text, you hit Windows-V, instead of Ctrl-V. I recommend placing the PureText.exe in your Program Files directory, and then placing a shortcut to it in your Startup folder so it’s always available to you. Oh look, it has a checkbox to auto-load itself at startup, neat! I guess I like this better than a Word-specific macro as it works across apps. Still, I’m open to any other suggestions the Collective might have.
