Ask on Craigslist BeFo. Your odds of getting a meaningful response would seem to be better there. Really, flat irons are pretty simple devices. They just produce heat and transfer it to the iron surface. People seem real excited if they last a couple of years. I think that is a pathetic life span for such a simple device. Just saying.
