The Youtube app on your iPod is in no way correlated with the speed on your desktop. By slow, do you mean choppy, or takes a long time to load? Choppy means your CPU is trash, but long load times mean the Internet connection is bad. 1. what CPU do you have? (Since you just bought the computer, this is unlikely, but it still could be a factor) 2. Are you on wired or wireless Internet? 2a. If wired, is the Ethernet cable old or frayed? 2b. If wireless, have you tried restarting you router?
