Why do some children struggle in school?

Our educational system caters to the lowest common denominator and, as such, it doesn’t meet the needs of all children. Secondly, our educational system isn’t mostly concerned with children as it’s mostly concerned with results and how the school can get funding.

Last Answer : While exercise is very important, i think diet is slightly more important, in that if you put toxins into your body, exercise is not going to cancel that out, the best starting point is to eat healthy first and foremost.

Last Answer : They sure do. I teach 3rd grade. I get them to each make up a rather large pouch (envelope type thing) for the front of their desks. They decorate it and put their name on the front. Then, in the morning each child gets to go around to the other students’ desks and drop in the Valentine. :)

Last Answer : I don’t like the idea, no. I think it’s shifting over to the far side of paranoia and neurosis. Maybe surveillance in some violence prone schools but no, I don’t think kids should be wearing body cams and their use should only be in certain classrooms under certain circumstances.

Last Answer : I think it’s mean but I also think it’s just kids being kids. I remember doing that kind of shit as a kid and not even realizing it was mean. Their empathy isn’t that well developed yet.

Last Answer : I don’t know if this is why, but it will get the parents into the habit of working with their children. The more closely parents work with children on schoolwork, the more success the kids will have academically. So it works. Just not sure if they think of that when they assign the homework.
