My kindergarten teacher used to shove me into the toilet after I failed to sing a song she taught. Another one attempted to cut my hand off when I misbehaved, leaving a mark that is still visible today. If they were around today they would face some nasty punishment for child abuse, but back then people just didn’t care. If I had spoken out people would have thought it was my fault for misbehaving and the teachers were right.
