answer:I suppose it is a theoretical possibility. But nothing more than that. Even if the US wanted to invade Iran, it would politically and financially impossible. Obama doesn’t have the political support from either party to mount a new military campaign. US equipment and personnel are worn out and need refurbishment. THere is no way that the US can or would commit troops to a military campaign for several years. Or longer. Military families are tired of serving on Bush’s Folly, and Obama is not going to start a similar wasteful exercise. And even if he wanted to, there is no appetite for additional trillions of dollars of deficit spending by either party. It simply can’t be afforded. Look at how damaged the US is as a result of the Bush idiocy—- completely strapped with no ability to fight. So, again, it is theoretically a possibility but has no way of actually occurring.
