answer:When I was training to be CNO, my current CNO recommended “First break all the rules” and “Now discover your strengths”. She also recommended getting the Journal of Nursing Administration. Personally, I think all the books in the world are nothing next to a great mentor. My CNO was definitely a great mentor for me and I learned a lot about being CNO. Being able to spend time with her in that role was better than any book I’ve read about management.
