answer:Good move. If you can’t fire a bad (tenured) teacher, students and their taxpaying parents have no chance. If private institutions want to establish tenure, so be it. The tuition payers can always take their money elsewhere if they do not like it. Tax payers who are supporting public schools, and who can not afford to pay double to escape to a private school and/or are deprived of a voucher, are stuck with tenured mediocrity.
