Anyone in the community here ever faced Erycipelas, where on the body and what was the line of treatment?

1 Answer

Answer :

answer:I am not sure if that was the exact diagnosis, but it seems to be what my ex had. We were on vacation in Hawaii, and while snorkeling in shallow water scraped against coral above her left breast. The next morning, her skin was red and warm to the touch, and she was running a fever. The area that was red kept growing. We went to urgent care, got referred to the emergency room at the nearest hospital. By the time she was seen, her left breast, left shoulder and upper left arm were red. She was hospitalized and on IV antibiotics for four nights.
